If you love macarons and you find yourself craving them, you
have probably wondered how difficult it was to make them.
Here at Sucré, we have decided to share our secret recipe with you.
We believe with passion everyone has the ability to make a
delicious macaron right in the comfort of their home.

What you will need:

Egg White Mixture

1 ¾ tablespoons sugar
½ cup egg whites (3 large eggs should do it)
Food color as desired (we recommend NEON)

The Filling :

Food color (of choice)
1 cup fresh buttercream

Fresh Buttercream

1 stick butter
1/4 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
1 1/2 cups of Powdered Sugar
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 290 degrees.
Sift together ½ cup almond flour
with a ½ cup powdered sugar.
Sift again, this time add ½ cup
granulated sugar. Set aside.
A key ingredient to delicious macarons, is
passion. If you are passionate about the
process, that will show in your confections.

Did you know...

Green tea macarons can be made with leaves
and are popular in South Korea.
Whisk egg whites and food color together with 1 ¾ tablespoons
of granulated sugar on medium speed until very stiff.
Fold dry ingredients into egg white mixture.
Transfer to a pastry bag fitted with a plain nozzle.

Did you know...

France has many stories centered around
macarons; one such story gives credit to
macarons saving a young girl from
starvation. If you visit France you might
hear a few more interesting stories!
Pipe small disks on a baking sheet
lined with parchment paper.

Did you know...

The delicious
confection, the
macaron, first got
it’s start as a much
simpler cookie in
Italy.
Bake 15-20 minutes.
Rotate cookies depending on rack.
If the cookies are too dry reduce cooking time.
Remove from oven, and cool.

The Filling :

Food color (of choice)
1 cup fresh buttercream

Fresh Buttercream

1 stick butter
1/4 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
1 1/2 cups of Powdered Sugar
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
Bring butter and cream to room temperature.
Sift 1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar.
Cream butter till smooth, add 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream,
add 1 1/2 tsps vanilla, mix till smooth and homogenous.
Add sifted powder sugar and mix until smooth.
Add desired food color to buttercream, continue
to mix on medium until smooth.
Transfer to a pastry bag.
Swirl a thin layer of filling
onto the bottom of a
cooled cookie, and top
with another cookie.

Did you know...

Macarons are often confused with
another sweet treat, macaroons.
Macaroons typically consist of a ball
made up of shredded coconut. Though
macaroons are also delicious, they
are an entirely different treat than
macarons.
For added flavor try adding pistachio paste
or almond paste to your buttercream.
Buttercream can be transformed by adding a
variety of flavorings to the cream base.
