Sucré brings Pupelato to stores benefitting the LA SPCA + Launches New Winter Menu on November 3rd!

This November Sucré New Orleans & Salon Restaurant by Sucré are partnering with the Louisiana SPCA! 

As part of the partnership, Pastry Chef Signe Seaborg and Executive Chef Tariq Hanna wanted to do something special just for the pups. Together they took their love for dogs & love for gelato inspiring them to create Pupelato, the ultimate gelato flavor for our furry friends: Bacon & Peanut Butter.

Pupelato is 100% dog-friendly AND human-friendly, so you and your companion can enjoy a scoop together! Scoops will be $3 or you can take a pint home for your pups for $12! A portion of Pupelato sales will be donated to the LA SPCA throughout November!

Bacon and Peanut Butter not your style? You can also contribute by stocking up on Sucré Cupcakes, as a portion of cupcake sales will also be donated to the LA SPCA.

We love dogs so much over here at Sucré we’re even getting merch in all three Sucré Stores. Yes you heard correctly, you will soon be able to sport a Sucré Frenchie + Macaron Shirt. Stay tuned for the release date; they will be available for purchase very soon! A portion of the proceeds will benefit the LA SPCA.

Ok, but not really. It stays pretty warm down here in New Orleans (for the most part) other than the occasional 30 degree drop for 2-3 days. But hey we’re getting in the Winter/Holiday spirit with the new Winter Petit Gateaux Menu, in stores on Friday, November 3rd!

Pomme Caramel: Caramel cake with calvados cream, roasted granny smith apples & chantilly 

Cranberry Eggnog Crème Brûlée: Eggnog crème brûlée with cranberry compote

Pear Almond Tart: Poached pear tart filled with almond frangipane and orange marmalade

In case you haven’t heard, we have a couple of new items (great for gifts/stocking stuffers) now available at Sucré: Sucré Bark Mix & Sucré Chocolate Drops

Bark Mix is a mix & match of signature Sucré flavors available in three different mixes: Milk, Dark and Festival.

Chocolate Drops come in 30% White Chocolate, 36% Milk Chocolate and 60% Dark Chocolate. These little rondos made with the finest couvertures from Felchlin Switzerland make a sweet snack or can be used for baking (see our recipe blogs below!).

Milk Chocolate Pudding Recipe

Whip up a batch of decadent Milk Chocolate Pudding made with Sucré’s 36% Milk Chocolate Drops!

Ingredients:                                                            How to Make:

1  ½ Cup half and half 1.     Combine half and half, sugar and vanilla in a pot and bring to a boil.
½ Cup heavy cream 2.     Combine cream and cornstarch in a small bowl and whisk until smooth.
3 TBSP sugar 3.     Add hot cream on medium hear and stir until thickened.
2 TBSP cornstarch 4.     Remove from heat, add Sucré Milk Chocolate Drops and stir until evenly melted.
½ Cup Sucré Milk Chocolate Drops 5.     Pour into serving vessels and refrigerate for 2 hours.
1 TSP vanilla extract

Sucré tip: For an added touch, garnish your Milk Chocolate Pudding with Sucré Southern Candied Pecans!

Dark Chocolate Mousse Recipe

Make your very own Dark Chocolate Mousse with Sucré’s 60% Dark Chocolate Drops!

Ingredients:                                                        How to Make:

1 Cup heavy cream (1) 1.     Combine heavy cream (1) and corn syrup and bring to a boil.
¼ Cup natural corn syrup 2.     Pour over Sucré Dark Chocolate Drops and whisk until smooth.
1  ¼ Cup Sucré Dark Chocolate Drops 3.     Whisk heavy cream (2) to soft peak and fold into the chocolate mixture until smooth and even.
1 Cup heavy cream (2) 4.     Refrigerate mousse for 2 hours.

Sucré tip: For added indulgence, serve on top of Sucré BAC cookie!

Hot Earl Grey White Chocolate Recipe

Make a creamy cup Hot Early Grey Tea with Sucré’s 30% White Chocolate Drops!

Ingredients:                                                            How to Make:

2 Cups milk 1.     Bring milk and tea to a boil and let steep for 5 minutes.
1 TBSP earl grey tea leaf 2.     Strain leaves out and pour mixture over the Sucré White Chocolate Drops.
1/3 Cup Sucré White Chocolate Drops 3.     Whisk until melted.

Sucré tip: Enjoy as is or add a Sucré Salted Caramel Marshmallow on top for extra flavor!

Sucré New Orleans to team up with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society September 2017


This September in honor of Blood Cancer Awareness Month, Sucré New Orleans & Salon Restaurant by Sucré will team up with the Mississippi/Louisiana Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) in the fight against cancer.

September-November 2017 Sucré hopes to raise awareness and use the power of teamwork to bring to fruition the LLS’s mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life for patients and their families.

Here’s how you can help us support the LLS this year at Sucré New Orleans:

  • Giving is sweet: September 1st-November 2nd, a portion of the proceeds from all Sucré Cupcake sales will be donated to the LLS. Stock up on a variety of cupcakes from classic chocolate & vanilla, to fleur de lis salted caramel– perfect for Saints football game days!


  • Sweet Night Out for the LLS at Sucré Lakeside: On Wednesday, September 20th, Sucré Lakeside will host an event celebrating Kay, LLS’s Honored Hero from 6 – 8 pm. Kay (pictured below) was 7 years old when she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, the most common form of childhood cancer. She was treated locally at Children’s Hospital and now lives in Kenner, LA with her parents Cabrina and Kevin and little sister Kenzie. Kay is shy at first but has a smile that can light up the room and dreams of being a fashion designer! A percentage of sales from the Lakeside location during the event and throughout the entire day will be donated back to the LLS in order to help little superheroes like Kay overcome cancer!



  • Sip for the Cure at Salon Happy Hour for LLS: On Thursday, September 28th from 4 – 7 pm Salon will donate a portion of the proceeds from Happy Hour bar sales to the LLS. During Happy Hour Salon offers $6 cocktails, wines, & sparkling wines as well as $6 small bites like Fried Chicken Sliders and Spiced Butter Shrimp. These $6 deals and donations to the LLS is sure to make this one of the happiest hours in all of NOLA!


  • Light the Night Walk Online Donations : You can donate to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society online through any of the Sucré Team Donation Websites. Sucré has four Donation Websites, one for each store and one for the Administrative and Confection Studio Employees (the Parent Team). Each Donation Website acts as a separate team, so if you have a favorite store, be sure to give to that team! All donations will go directly to the LLS & the LLS The Light the Night Walk (info below). To donate, simply click on these Donation Website links below:
  • Light the Night Walk: The local Light the Night Walk will take place at Lafreniere Park in New Orleans on Thursday, November 2nd, 2017 at 5:30 pm. The Light the Night Walk is a fundraising event that celebrates survivors and honors those that have lost the battle to cancer, as well as symbolizes hope for the treatment and cure of blood cancer. Signature Sucré Mardi Gras

Holiday Season at Sucré was full of laughs, cheer & a lot of Eggnog Chocolates!

Through the generous donations of our amazing customers (seriously we have the best) we were able to donate over 150 toys to the Ozanam Inn Forgotten Angels Christmas Party! Sucré also raised $2,286 from the proceeds of the featured Monsieur Claus dessert to be donated to Ozanam Inn. What a great way to end 2016!


We have to admit, our favorite season is, you guessed it–Mardi Gras. Not trying to be biased, but hey we are after all in New Orleans.

Chef Tariq’s newest creation, Child’s Play (above), captures the bright soul & free spirit of children around the world. Made with white chocolate cheesecake mousse, fresh raspberry & caramel milk croquant, the flavors of this petit entremet are sure to bring out the inner child in all of us! Proceeds from the featured dessert will be donated to Ochsner Hospital for Children. In addition to the monetary donation, Sucré staff will make a surprise King Cake delivery to the children at Ochsner! 


Sucré King Cakes, Mardi Gras Macarons & Carnival Chocolates will be served in  the VIP ROOM at 2017 New Orleans King Cake Festival, also benefitting Ochsner Hospital for Children.
